I don't get around to all the boards the way I should.
Helen, Now I understand your question about xrays....that was back in the middle of Dec. Everything is fine. Onc going to look at the ribs again by CT in March. But he is almost certain it's due to the fall.

Dear Suzie,
I had the pleasure of meeting Pam about 18 months ago about an hour outside of Dallas. Had dinner with her, her daughter and DH.
I can tell you that she is truly a marvelous women...In spite of several difficult medical issues she gives her heart and soul to this site and has helped so many, many of us with her diligent research on our behalf and with her insightful posts.
She is very smart, caring and funny...Not a bad combo, huh? I would say her only failing is that she likes to sit under palm trees on the beach with their fronds gently blowing in the breeze...not an easy task in January in Oklahoma...
She is a lovely woman..I can see her now..shaking her head and saying “why is he saying so much?” well the answer, dear Pam, as Suzie and all of us have recognized you are just so very, very special and I want to acknowledge that. I hope 2011 is kind to you, health-wise..
with my love,
Steve

Beth and D...
My arm is responding to rads...just finished tx. Some pain and swelling, but I think the broken arm rads helped and doing another scan in 4 wks is the plan to see the healing. Still in sling, elevated, very carefully not moved. The OTHER arm is now daily acting the same ...call into onc while nurse cares for the pain...I am now the queen of pillows...lol, piled left and right! Rad Onc has passed the baton to Medical BC Onc now...since we have to watch for more bone mets/sites and want to discuss the zometa alternative as part of tx, and the lung mets, seeing the Onc makes sense...now systemic tx/chemo...whole other question/getting second opinion on case/tx with the help of my dear friends here.....I thank you everyday....how are both of you??????

Suzie, I'm glad the radiation seems to be helping, and hope the healing has already started. Sorry about the other arm, though. Hopefully it's just strained from using it to compensate for your 'queenly' lady of leisure arm.
I'm doing pretty well, other than walking around with a cold that turned into a sinus infection and now back into a cold/flu since antibiotics. I'm slurping soup at my desk at this very moment. We had a nice holiday break, going to LA for a week and leaving the kids with the grandparents for a while when we returned. Lots of books, movies, hanging with friends, running, and yoga, the latter two of which have been nixed since the cold-monster came to visit. My marriage seems to have taken a turn for the better, amazingly enough. Our 15 year wedding anniversary is tomorrow, and we are both feeling pretty optimistic. My chest is still less than lovely with my pretty botched reconstruction, but I don't want to revisit this quite yet. Maybe in a couple of months. Thanks for asking.
love, d

Man, I have a terrible memory but I remember someone on the spiritual support mentioning a botched reconstruction, but I don't know who....of course my problem is chemobrain, I would never admit to being old...lol...
Happy to hear there are positive signs at your house...I will pray that all is well and soon.
Love,
Carol

Denise,
Hope that cold finally goes away. Mine is hanging on way too long. It's nice to hear about your trip to LA without kids. Hoping that things continue to look up in the marriage area! Congratulations a day early on your 15 yr anniversary.

Yes, that chemobrain is all too real. And as my family/friends (here as well) say, meds in the mix are just "SO" much fun...not! Tennessee is so beautiful, springs are lovely there, having lived in SW Ohio years back. Stick w/us and we WILL always remember what is worth saving and with a breath of kindness, blow the rest away hugs

My user name I picked when I was doing foster care. It was a zoo around here and I'm a mommy, so I became zoomommy2 because somebody else already had plain zoomommy. I do foster care/rescue for dogs now, so the zoo continues!
