How do I know if I am HER2-negative ? I know I am ER and Pro negative with BCRA 1 . But it has been 10 years since I got my results and I don't know if they knew about HER 2 at that time . I have a felling I am but how would I find out . I still have my patology report .

Hi Rita,

they may have some of your original tissue block...they can test now for HER2/neu expression...ask them to use FISH technology if you decide to do it...

may I ask, though, why do you want to find out, now?

good luck,

Steve

May I ask what treatment you had 10 years ago. What stage were you? How long have they been doing the genetic testing? Like Steve I would see if they could re test using the fish technology.

Lots of Love,
Diane
