I had a lumpectomy almost two years ago and have not had a recurrence (knock on wood).

It came to pass not to stay.
Lumpectomy August 2006. No lymph node involvement. AC x 4 radiotherapy 30 sessions. Taxol lasted 2. Clear so far! |

I had a Lumpectomy in Jan 1997 with 6+ nodes and no recurrence in that breast, although had a new primary in other breast 2.5yrs ago.

NED..still having lab work every 3 months. Had Bone Ct,Thoracic spine, Chest Xray and Bilateral Mammogram clean. Lab work grat,tumor markers normal. Yahooooooooooooooooo... God bless you all English Jan |

I had a lumpectomy in October of 2007 and am undergoing chemotherapy which will then be followed up with 33 radiation treatments over 6 1/2 weeks so reading all these are encouraging! Thanks ladies for posting. I have a friend of mine, Karin, whose husband had last year a double mastectomy. His reoccurred; however, and he underwent surgery two weeks ago. He will now have to have chemotherapy and radiation as well.

Had a lumpectomy in October 2008, going through Chemo right now. Just had treatment #4 out of 6. Then I will have radiation -- 33 treatments.

Lumpectomy and sentinel node biopsy May, 2007. NED ~ Mammo and MRI testing every 6 months. Labs every 3-4 months. God is good ~ all the time!
