Aww, thanks SO much Judy & Linda,

Having my sisters' support is truly awesome.  You both are always extremely thoughtful. Those are the little things that mean a lot.. and you never forget.

I however did goof up.. typical me.  The surgery itself is at 11:30.  I'm to show up at 9:30 tomorrow morning. Since I'm not a breakfast person it won't be any big deal to have nothing on my stomach.

Sending my love,
Mindy

Please take good care of yourselves.

Mindy,

Sending more caring thoughts and good wishes to you as you recover from your recent BSO surgery.
Think you said the BSO was laparoscopic........even though recovery time is said to be less than than
an open procedure.....one still has had the same amount of pelvic surgery only done thru a different
approach........so one does still need time to heal and recover. Take care of yourself....allow your body
the time it needs to heal.

With caring and positive thoughts,
Grateful for today............Judy

Thank you Judy..  You are very dear. Hug

My post op visit is later this month.  Then off to Houston for the first 3 month check-up plus an over-fill with the reconstructive surgeon for exchange surgery in September.  For those who may read this and not understand, I had a skin sparing mastectomy with TE (tissue expanders).  After a series of saline fills for desired size, they overfill the TEs with a few months prior to surgery.  OUCH.  They want to make sure there's ample skin before surgery to take out the expanders and place the implants.  (My choice is silicone over saline.)  They may also need to take some fat cells to create symmetry.   After that I'm in no hurry for areola tattooing and nipples.  Most likely I'll forgo those steps.

Grateful all seems to be healing quite nicely.
