Donna,

So sorry I have been absent.  I was on vacation and off-line.  I am wishing the best for you and praying for you as well.  I have to echo Denise.  I have been on the PET goose chase before and it is so scary.  It is so hard to act "as if" while waiting for more tests.  Try and stay busy, start your holiday shopping, whatever it takes.  Retail therapy is very therapeutic for me (unfortunately).

HUGS  XO

Thank you all my sweeties!
It is so difficult to wait......I should hear this week and I am stuck to the phone and e-mail because they will contact me to come in as soon as they receive the results...

BTW, on the FORCE newsletter, they are looking for BRCA 1 & 2 people to join a study.  It is out of Toronto!!!! Dr. Stephen Narod is heading it up, so it is open to our sisters and brothers in the US and Canada.

Check this site out .....sister's and brother's....

One step at a time, one foot in front of the other and lots of research,
before we know it, we will be healed!
Hugs, Helen in NS

Sara,

Thanks, I might need to try some shopping.  When you had your PET, where was your scare?  Did you have to have a biopsy?

I'm having my biopsy on Monday, but don't meet with my onc until late in the day on the 18th.  So it will be about a week and a half before I get the results.  Ugh!

Helen,

I just gave a co-worker the FORCE's website.  Her SIL had bc several years ago and found out she's BRCA+.  She said they told her she should have a bi-mx and she doesn't want to do it.  I told her she needs to talk to a genetic counselor because of her BRCA status.
