Topic: "Unsung Heros" (chemo nurses) Posted: Apr 21 2010 at 8:08am |
I wrote this poem for my nurses....they were so happy with it...sometimes they are just not recognized as they should be.
“Unsung Heroes”
This has been a long tough journey
We wish no one had to endure.
And we pray each and every day
That soon they find a cure.
But until that wonderful day happens
And we no longer need this place,
We know that when we come through that door
We will be met by a smiling face.
They have a special calling, God put them in this place
They take care of all of us with smile on their face.
I call them my “unsung heroes”, because that is who they are
They sometimes go unnoticed, but they are a shining star.
They make this time of treatment as good as good can be,
They laugh and joke , but always doing their job with efficiency
So my “unsung heroes, you are special to us all.
God will surely bless you as you continue in His Call.

It truly amazes me how those ladies are always there to offer a smile, a warm solid shoulder, wisdom when I was ready to fall over the edge, willing to determination to make us well and Carol somehow you captured all that and more. Thanks once again, M

Thank you Mainy and Donna and kellli....
I take no credit...it's truly from God...I know, because I've tried to do it by myself...it just doesn't work..
