There was some interesting info in this article but I have found the link doesn't work so I have deleted it.

I am not a doomsday person, do not rely on statistics or numbers, they are usually old and out of date for one thing, am a individual w/breast cancer and we are all individuals, not numbers.
But I do like to be informed and am passionate about learning all that I can and then when I read an artice I take the information and process it to decide for myself if it is worthy of hanging onto or deleting from the computer and my mind.
I have had breast cancer twice and have every hope and lots of faith that I will continue to fight this monster but I feel knowledge is power and I won't stick my head in the sand, I'm also realistic as to the challenges we face.

"The computer (statistics) doesn't know you. It doesn't know how often you laugh or cry or that you have spunk. It doesn't know about the support of your family and friends and how well you're loved; whether or not you're prayed for isn't taking into consideration by the statisticians. And no matter ho many mega-giga-humonga-bytes-bits-RAM the computer may contain, it simply isn't capable of computing the fact that -- are you ready for this? -- the God of the universe has a timetable for your life and mine! Yea! Rah! Cheers! Maybe a hallelujah or two!"

-- taken from the introduction of I'm Alive and the Doctor's Dead, written by Sue Buchanan.

Read the studies and information... ignore the statistics... LIVE your life!
