Survey OpportunityDo you have
an inherited gene mutation that increases your chance to develop cancer? Are family members considering genetic
testing to learn their risks?
Researchers at UTHealth are working with people like to you to learn whether family members are ready to have genetic testing for a
mutation found in one of their relatives, called “cascade testing.” This anonymous research survey has been approved
by the UTHealth Institutional Review Board.
The survey takes most people only 10-15 minutes to complete. At the end of the survey you can enter for a
chance to win a gift card!
Participants
must:
+ Be 18 years
of age or older
+ Live in the
United States
+ Be able to
complete a survey in English
+ Have a positive genetic testing result for an inherited cancer or tumor condition (ex: BRCA1 mutation positive result)
+ Have at
least one blood-relative (such as a parent, sibling or child)
