hi to all!
since trip neg's have no treatment options following the conventional chem/surg/rads has anyone else gone to alternative/complimentary therapies such as acupuncture?  my immune system was totally wiped out by my first dose dense chemo (ac-t) and has never returned to normal.  i have been doing herbs and acupuncture and got my wbc up to 3.8...i felt quite a "let down" when i finished my rads...you are so busy doing something to fight this disease and then left to your own devices.  my onc does follow me very closely with pet/ct and blood work.
i have also used guided imagry tapes which help with the anxiety that is a normal part of our treatment being "finished"...there is nothing but anectotal information but i see much more interest out there and wanted to see what my listmates have found may have worked for you! marilyn

Hi Marilyn,

To boost my WBC, I have been using ImmunoStart (by Mannatech) and Reishimax (by Pharmanex), both were recommended by an integrative oncology doctor.  They work to the point that I was able to convince my oncologist that these supplements work.
