Hi everybody, I wanted to share with you lovely people the good news- I just finished my last taxol on wednesday! I had 4 DD AC and 4 DD Taxol. Can someone offer some advice on how to deal with numbness, pain in fingers and bones. My onc didn't offer me any advice, he said it'll go away eventually. Also now that I'm done...how do I take it easy and not sweat the small stuff? My mood is good most of the time but I feel less patient. I guess it's the chemo. How long did it take you to return to normal? Your energy, your soul? I'm eager to live my life. I'm so excited I'm done with chemo. I can't even believe it yet. Thank you again for everyone's support. Without you I don't know how I would have handled it. Wishing everyone the best of health.

Congratulations on finishing chemo! I remember than once I came out of the fog from my final treatment, my mood improved a lot! Ten months later I think I still have a few aches and pains that were at least aggrivated by the chemo. I don't believe that I will ever have the amount of feeling in my fingers that I used to have. I'd say that I started feeling pretty "normal" within a couple of months, but it is a "new normal." I am thankful for every day that I wake up feeling good and ready to enjoy life. Of course I also have days when the fear of recurrence seems to take over, but I try to keep that in check as much as possible. Have a wonderful summer and many, many more healthy years!

Way to go braveheart!Thanks for sharing your wonderful news. Susan was sooooo happy after her last infusion. The fatigue lasted for a while and she had radiation after chemo which also caused some fatigue, but not nearly as much as the chemo. Susan finished radiation about a month ago and is still not back to "normal" but is feeling much better. Her oncologist said it would probably be six months before she is back to normal and that it would likely be a "new normal" as Charlene said. Thank you ladies for your replies. I know many ladies are still going through chemo, radiation, surgery. I wanted to let you guys know that I'm thinking and praying for you. I wasn't sure how I'd handle chemo but with your support I've managed.
