Yoga Improves Quality Of Life And Regulates Stress Hormones In Women With Breast Cancer Undergoing Radiation Therapy

Donna,

Thanks for the post on yoga and radiation.  I have just started a beginner yoga program 3 weeks out from end of my radiation treatment, but believe it would have benefited me during radiation as it has improved my energy level already.

I've never been able to do yoga so am envious of those who can. Anything that improves energy levels during radiaion (or any old time) is a star in my book.

I started doing yoga before my diagnosis.  I think it's been the biggest difference in how I've felt mentally throughout chemo & surgery.  The physical aspects certainly help.  But, the meditation part of the practice has been the most beneficial.  As I heal from surgery and start radiation next month, I look forward to continuing my yoga practice.  For now, when I can't do yoga, I meditate daily or as often as I can.  Thanks for sharing.
