I just wanted to give everyone here at TNBC an update on my daughter, Caitlin.  She is having her 3rd AC treatment tomorrow and she has done very well with the first 2.  A couple of days of mild flu-like symptoms and a couple of days of body aches are the worst of it so far.  We'll cross the bridge of worse symptoms if we have to.  The hair loss was not as traumatic because she shaved it off before it could fall out.  She did a mohawk first for a couple of hours and I was glad to see that thing go.  2 more treatments of AC and then 12 of T.  Thanks everyone for the information and concern.  So glad to have this site!!

Glad for the mild side effects Caitlin is experiencing and hoping she continues to do well!

Angela,

It's very good that Caitlan is having only mild side effects.  I hope the rest of the chemo goes as well.  Cutting you're hair ahead of losing it is very empowering.  When my hair started to fall out I couldn't wait to shave it.

I am so glad to hear that Caitlin is doing even better than expected.  I hope things stay this way throughout the rest of her treatments and that she will one day be able to look back on this as just a "bump in the road."  The best to both of you.
