Lori was a wonderful young woman. She was a devoted Christian and never never gave up hope.
Although it wasn't TNBC, it was undiagnosed breast cancer. When this all started her family and friends gathered round and named their group "Never Quit", and believe me they didn't. So that is where the name of the foundation they have set up in her name came from. We will miss her here at the resort. Praying for her wonderful family and friends.
Mrs. Lori Michelle Pearson, 39 of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Sunday November 7, 2010 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Never Quit Foundation at Carroll Bank and Trust, P. O. Box 889, Huntingdon, TN 38344.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Huntingdon. Interment will follow in the Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery. Bro. Fred Ward will officiate the service.
The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Monday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Tuesday from 8:00 AM until time 2:30 PM.
Mrs. Pearson was born March 30, 1971 in Memphis, Tennessee. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Huntingdon, a teacher at Jackson State Community College, a former softball coach at Jackson State Community College and McKenzie High School. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Chester James Deverell and Sophia Odell Deverell, maternal grandparents, Henry Porter and Lena (Wiles) Bayless, Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Johnny Ray Pearson, three sons, Kade Pearson, Konnor Pearson, Kaleb Pearson, her father and mother, James and Mary Deverell of Covington, one sister, Jennifer Deverell, of Collierville, two brothers, Jeff Deverell (wife Selena) of Olive Branch, Mississippi, Curt Deverell of Covington, and mother-in-law, Brenda Pearson of Huntingdon. She also leaves three nephews, Ayden Deverell, Tristen Deverell, Kelby Pearson and one niece, Kaley Pearson.

No Denise...her's wasn't tnbc. She was nursing her son when she found the lump and her doc told her it was a swollen milk duct. Six months later when she quit nursing and the lump was still there and bigger did they decide to check it out. Too little, too late. She already had mets to chest wall and lymph nodes. From there to liver and lungs. It was all so unnecessary!

Carol,
Such a sad story and loss of a fine young woman. Too many what ifs if they had caught it early instead of misdiagnosing it. May she be in peace with the lord.

Carol:
I am so sorry to hear about Lori's passing. I am sure that you will miss her! I am sure that if she had that many mets, that the good Lord did her a favor by taking her to Him.
She was so young, my son's age..... My dear, when are we going to get it through these doctors' heads that a lump is something!
Jesus, I ask that you bless Lori's family and give them strength that can only come from you. May Lori rest in peace. In Jesus' name, Amen.

I am so sorry that another beautiful voice has been silenced by cancer. Lori certainly left a wonderful legacy of Christian witness for all who knew her and for those of us who hear about her.
I pray that Lori's husband, children and other family members will be strengthened in the knowledge of her salvation. Her life was not in vain.
God Bless,
Lillie
