Dear friends in the fight,

I have finished radition--was diagnosed last January with 3 b, lymph node involvement.  Had chemo for 4 mos, double mas w/axiallary dissection and radiation.

I had a wierd headache in my right temple and the oncologist ordered brain mri--which was clear.

For a week I've had bone pain in my collar bone and left hip.  My ct and bone scans are Friday.

This is what I wonder, and what no doctor has discussed with me:  what are the signs of recurrence?  Why do some people have pet scans and others have bone scans.

What do you think are the best cancer centers out there in the u.s. for treating triple negative?

Love and light to you all,

Melanie

Mellie, I'm sorry I can't answer your specific question, but just wanted to wish you well for your scans on Friday.

Debris,

Thanks so much.  I am a little confused about where/how to set up/post strands.  God bless you!  I'm sending you and those healthy cells of yours lots of light.

Melanie,

I convinced my Oncologist to give me a pet scan despite just having finished treatment.  That is how they found some residual cancer in one of my nodes.  I don't know why some people have bone scans vs. pet since Trip Neg more likely to move to the lungs/brain than bones. Very comforting :)
