If my breast surgeon said there were no viable cancer cells left in my tumor, is that the same as pcr?

Diagnosed 12/09 IDC triple neg
2cm tumor
1 of 11 nodes positive
Chemo until 4/20/10
Surgery 5/26/10 No viable cancer left in breast
1 mm of cancer in one lymph node.
Radiation 6/28 to 8/9

I had PCR as well.  What does that do as far as recurrence rate?   Does PCR make the stats tip in our favor?

Age 40, 4/28/10 lumpectomy (3 cm) TNBC Grade 3 Stage 2 0/3 nodes, TAC 6x 3 week cycles start 6/15 finish 9/27, 33 rounds rads 11/22. BRCA1 & 2 neg. Lymphedema rt hand 8/14. Joint pain Dec 2010.

PCR stands for Pathological Complete Response.

DX IDC TNBC Oct. 27, 2009, age at diagnosis 45, Stage 1, Grade 3, <1 cm, 0/2 nodes, lumpectomy, Taxotere/CytoxanX4, finished Feb. 8, 2010, radiation completed Apr. 21, 2010.

Tabatha - YES, pCR is the gold standard.  Your prognosis is excellent!  (recurrence rate less than 15%)
