Please pray for my grandson's friend Jay Rogers. He has been fighting a rare cancer for the last 4 years. He will be getting a bone marrow infusion Monday.  Thanks so much.
I forgot to mention that he is only 17 yrs old and used to play football with my grandson.

Please let's add Christine's name to this prayer list. The cancer has come back for the third time. She needs our prayers.
You know not all the people who read these forums and threads are members. So by posting here  a myriad of others will read and pray!

Here is an update on Jay, my grandson's friend.
Daniel, whois mentioned in the update, is Jay's older brother.
Please continue to pray. This child has been soooo sick.
Carol

We entered the hospital yesterday evening.  The Chili's building is like the penthouse compared to the second floor it is so nice and great big rooms!

Last week we received great news!  The tumor has shrunk drastically!  There has been such a decrease in its size the doctor ran a copy of the scan pictures to show us.  It is just a small piece of tumor left!  More good news came again yesterday!  They could find no evidence of cancer in his bone marrow!  God has blessed us again!

We have had a busy day today.  Daniel successfully completed his donation of his natural killer cells late this afternoon.  He did well but had some uncomfortable pain in his arms.  They said it was from keeping them in one position for five hours.
Jay also began chemo at 2:00 this afternoon.  He is having trouble with nausea and a headache.  Hopefully the meds will kick in soon and give him some relief.

Jay will receive chemo for five more days, on day seven he will recieve a shot that will feed Daniel's killer cells.  This will help them to thrive when the cells are given to Jay.  He will then receive the same shot every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for  two weeks.  We will then rest for a month and do more scans to evaluate the progress.

Daniel's role is now complete in the procedure.  His cells will be expanded (grow and multiply) in the lab and given to Jay on day eight.  Today is day one.

Please continue to pray for Jay.

Please pray for my daughter Judi's best friend Dawn and her son Noah. Dawn woke this morning to find her 37 yr old husband dead in bed beside her. This is such a tragedy for her and especially her son who is only 10 yrs old.
Judi has gone to be with Dawn and take care of her son. Please pray for her as well. She is understandably very upset.

I will pray for Judi, Dawn and Noah. We never know what we face from one moment to the next. That is why it is so important that we know who is ruler of our lives.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the WORD WAS GOD.

Romans 10: 8-13
8) But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart" that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming. 9) That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus Is Lord" and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead" you will be saved. 10) For it is with your heart theat you believe and are justified and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. 11) As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame" 12) For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile" - the same Lord is Lord of all and richly BLESSES ALL WHO CALL ON HIM. 13) for, "EVERYONE WHO CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED."

Let us all be "prayer Warriors" for each other.

Love in Christ,

Lillie

I know this site is for triple negatives, and I am one of us, but when I volunteer at the oncology clinic I meet people with all kinds of cancer. (I have been volunteering since April '09 and only met 1 triple negative besides myself. People don't know about us, but I'm doing all I can to educate them.

Anyway: Please pray for

Betty: colon cancer. Her cancer is inoperable, she is on her second set of chemo, the first did not work. Yesterday she was getting her 4th infusion and then they will do a scan next week. She is having so much back pain ("she said the pain is from the tumor, but admitted that tension could be part of the pain"), she is afraid the chemo is not working. Pray that the tumor is shrinking. She is so brave and such a pleasant person.

Linda: multiple myloma. She was told 1 1/2 years ago (at Duke) that, at most, she had 2 years to live. She was referred to the oncologist I am going to and figured she had nothing to lose, so she came to him... Thus far she is taking a trial drug which is working beyond the doctor's understanding, and it is not chemo. If this drug quits working, there are many chemo drugs to try. It appears to everyone that she will go way beyond her 2 year "shelf life". Praise the Lord!

Susie & Cathy: breast cancer: Cathy was getting 3rd infusion of AC. She has lost her hair and is not working at the present time. Fatigue issues, but overall very optimistic..... Susie is a 4 year survivor who was there for a treatment to strengthen her bones. She had a mastectomy, 13 positive nodes, ACT and 35 rads. Susie is on arimedex and Cathy will take it after she finishes her treatments. They had never heard of triple negative, but they did yesterday. They are so nice.

Judy: colon cancer: Getting first infusion yesterday. She had lots of questions about hair, swelling from styroids, nausea, etc. She will not lose all her hair, but it will thin out. Her hair is naturally thin and fine, so she was concerned. We disucssed a few possibilities and she felt much better about her hair situation.

Matthew: testicular cancer: 26 years old. He had last infusion of chemo, for now, but his insurance will not pay for a pet scan. It had metasticised to his lungs before chemo began, so he is going to Duke for some type of treatment they do there (for his lungs) It is all so complicated.... He is so young and "humble".

These are my names from yesterday for prayer. Also pray for me that I will continue to have the emotional strength to be an asset to these people and not a hindrance.

Thanks,

Lillie

Lillie,
I don't think anyone would have a problem with prayer requests other than TNBC. At least I don't think so. I will ask Arlene. Actually, that's why I started this thread so that we could have help praying for others. But I will check and make sure we are not offending anyone...

There are many of you who know Donna...user name of sibu. She emailed me and asked for prayers for her cousin's family. Donna lost her sister a few years ago to ovarian cancer, then Donna was dx, and then recently her father died of cancer. This is her email to me.
Thnak you,
Nancy

Although none of you knows the family, I ask that you please say a prayer (light a candle, send white light...) if you feel so inclined, for my cousin and her family.

Her 4 kids were in a serious car wreck on their way to school on Friday on the back roads of Montana. Her 13-year-old boy was killed at the scene and her daughter (who was driving) is still in a coma.

I know how much the prayers and well wishes (often from people who hardly knew me!) helped during my cancer ordeal and I trust you may find it in your hearts to hold this family up as well.

Much love,

Donna

Dear Donna,
I am sooo sorry about this terrible tragedy. I will most assuredly pray for that family. My heart goes out them and you.

My precious Lord, I come to you now asking for your hand on this family. Please , if it is you will, restore them to the place they were before the accident. Lord I know that you are a loving caring God and that everything happens for a purpose. Being human makes us doubt and fear. But please take the doubt and fear away and take care of this family like only You can.
We love you dear God and pray for these things in Your Son's Name,
Amen

Please prayer for our dear friend and his family. James Nevil was diagnosed with throat and voice box cancer. He is going in today for scans to see if this cancer has spread elsewhere. He is a wonderful, loving, kind Christian man who needs our prayers.
Thank you,
Carol

Dear Nicole,

I'm so sorry your sister has TN breast cancer but you have come to a good place to get support and information. I will pray for your sister and you and the entire family. In the next few weeks you will be finding out a lot of things like the stage, grade, size, of your sister's tumor. Also, what kind of treatments are recommended. Please keep up updated so we can be helpful to you and her.

Love In Christ,
Lillie

Nicole,

I am sorry that your sister is walking this road.  It affects everyone in the family and she is blessed to have you alongside her as she battles.  My diagnosis hit my sister pretty hard and she was a huge support for me. I will keep all of you in my prayers.  Not sure where in Georgia you live and if your sister also lives here, but I am right outside of Atlanta and am happy to chat by phone or email.  No pressure, just if it would help (we may share doctors, etc.).  I'll send you a private message with my contact info.

Love,
Laura
