Have any of you had gene expression profiling before deciding on a treatment?

I've been reading a number of articles that talk about genetic tests and how to predict who really needs chemo based on their predisposition to mets.

I'm wondering if this is something I should ask for before deciding what to do. When they look for BRCA1, do they also look at other genes?

If you don't already know, anyone can do article searches at http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez. Some of the articles are free and some require access through a licensed database or the actual print journal.
