I had the free flap reconstruction on 12/9 and am experiencing horrible burning above the incision.  It feels like nerve pain.  Has anyone else had the free flap?  It seems like most have or are having implants.  I have Fibromyalgia so I couldn't have the implants.

I did not have a free flap reconstruction, but I also have fibromyalgia and developed terrible shooting pains (felt like nerve pain) about 2 weeks after my lumpectomy.

After 4 or 5 days, the pain went away, so I attributed it to a fibromyalgia flare. I had almost the exact same reaction 3 years ago after the cesarean section birth of my son.

For me, surgery always results in a flare. Your mileage may vary.

I'm guessing that's what it must be.  The pain is worse now than it was right after surgery a month ago.  I hope that it goes away soon.  Thanks!
