Doctors want to treat me with chemo designed for both TNBC and Her2+ because about 20% of my tumor is just above equivocal amplification for Her2.. I would imagine that they have to pick one type of cancer to treat before deciding treatment. Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm sorry fulltilt but I don't understand.
Do you work for Cytodyn, or are you a patient of theirs or what?
Does all tnbc have CCR5? Is it used for treating stage4 patients currently?

For clarification, the 800 patients mentioned are HIV patients. It looks like they've had one or two stage 4 TNBC patients maybe? I can only find information published by Cytodyn themselves, and yes they are a for profit venture. FullTilt, please reach out to the site administrator and get clearance to promote your information here to our TNBC cancer survivor community. Thank you.

Fulltilt,

Your study only looked at 2 TNBC metastatic patients and looked at circulating tumor cells?  I think a study that is a huge breakthrough needs to be much larger than 2 people.  What are the end points of the study?  Did it only look at circulating cells?  Did the tumors completely become no evidence of disease?  What happened when they stopped the study drug?  Did the tumors start growing again?

This thread was talking about someone who's tumor was TNBC but also had a portion that was Her2+.  Your study would not benefit this person so I'm not sure this is the appropriate place to post.  You should get permission from the admins about posting in the Metastatic forum.

Fulltilt,

You can start a new thread (topic) under the Metastastis section.  It will get better viewing if it was a stand alone topic.
