I had last week seen a discussion on the site about metformin.  Has anyone heard of Bioperine.  It is a supplement that mimics metformin. I was just wondering if anyone is aware of it.  After seeing the discussion here on metformin I googled herbs/supplements that are like metformin and I came up with Berberine in my search.  I am going to see an integrative doctor next week at Sloan and am going to look further into it.  I have started taking it with turmeric.  Just started, I just want to see if anyone else has heard of it.  I am not a professional...just an avid reader on tnbc.  I am very thankful for this has taught me a lot.

It is another name for black pepper which makes turmeric more bioavailable to your body.

Good question. Did you receive answers anywhere else?
