Curious to find out if anyone here is going to be getting Xeloda after radiation.  Just found out about this new recommendation this morning from my oncologist, who is suggesting I might want to do it given I still had a 1cm tumor left after chemo (although shrunk down from 5cm).  Had lumpectomy two weeks ago, got clear margins, node negative, and was feeling pretty good about myself until my doctor suggested another 6 months of Xelodo, based on this new research.  Starting radiation in a couple of weeks so I have time to think about what to do, but will be honest and say that I really really wanted to be done Confused

ImaJ,

It does make sense if there is residual disease, but I guess you have to weigh the side effects of additional chemo.  Without targeted therapy, additional treatment is all we have to improve the odds.
