Hi all:
First all, I need to thank Steve for helping me very hard to find a good hospital for my second opinion. unfortunately, Md A do not take my insurance. I think my insurance only covers the local hospitals.
I am almost done with my regiment in Sloan Kettering with AC/D. I still can feel something under my arm and in my breast. I am wondering if any oncologist in New York area already started using Carboplatin for early or middle stage TNBC. I want to be aggressive since i am young and have stage 3a.
Anyone knows any good oncologist in New york? please post their informations here. thank you!!!

Joanie

There's a thread with oncologist recommendations from members.  The only listing I saw was this one:

Thank you Donna, but I am in sloan already, they won't let me change the doc. I believe they work as a team. How can you deal with this for so many years? This is a very scary journey.

I am on Long Island and have a great oncologist.  Really worked with me when Taxol tried to kill me twice. Now on Abraxane and happy to say tolerated my first treatment very well and only have one more to go before radiation.  I am only a 45 min LIRR ride away from the city and would love to establish a support group of people like me.  I was diagnosed at 47 with IDC stage 3A with 5 nodes involved.  Had mastectomy in 10/13 and started chemo 12/13.  Should have been done by now, but lost time to hospitalizations.  We seem to have a bunch of things in common.  Let me know if I can help at all.
