Well I went and had my consult with my breast surgeon and plastic surgeon today.

The plan is for me to have a mastectomy on the side with the cancer and then expandera filled in then implant.

On the other side that does not have cancer he is going to add tissue from my stomach to reach the right size that I choose which is only going to be a little bigger and then uplift them both.

As far as the surgery goes he going to take 3 lymph nodes out.  If they are all negative he would said I maybe could get away with no radiation. I am sure I will get some radiation though.

He also said he wouldn't be surprised if what remaining residual clear up by the time of surgery which is sometime during the week of Oct 14.

I am okay with everything. For some reason I though moot women get both breast removed but they advised against saying no matter if i had both they were be no way to get them perfectly symmetrical. Whcih is fine.

So I am waiting no my call in the next 48 for my surgery date and instructions.

Does that sound like  normal protocol?

nevermind ..scratch that...now I was told I got my facts wrong and that If wanted my breast a little bigger the would use and implant on the left breast instead of using my fat issue? So I am getting 2 implants now? This is so confusing to me....

it sounds like you have a plan Tracy :) I had the double mastectomy with nipple sparing. It was pretty easy.
My surgeon could not use my belly fat, it only had fat on upper belly not bottom. No matter anyway. I chose silicone implants and for the most part I am alright with them. My girls tend to do things diffrently. Lucy like to go way to the left when laying on my basck, riachell pretty much stays where she is. I feell them shift around sometimes.
My surgeon spoke to me of going in and tryibng to straighten the issues up. This is the way I felt about that. My body went through so much, my breasts look alright with clothes on. It doesn't matter what you do, when your naked it never looks like it did, have scars that are pretty large. My nipples don't perk.  As for any other person not feeling good about them? If they love us, they love the battle scars also.

Good luck with your surgeries," you got this".

my plastic surgeon is advising me with the partial reconstruction and just have the masectomy in the cancer affected breast. Should I ask him about having them both removed or is that not standard?
