I finished my chemo 2 weeks ago, had port removed the day after, due to lingering fever, coughing, blood clot in jugular. I just had a CT scan reveal inflammation of lungs, I will be seeing a pulmonary specialist today, has anyone experienced anything similar, any advice?

MRR,
Sorry but I don't have much advice for you maybe this is all related to an infection? How did your appointment go with your pulmonary specialist go?Sure hope you are feeling better and got some answers as to what can be causing this. Please keep in touch...

Dear MRR,

glad you are seeing a pulmonologist...

I was helping a woman recently who went through chemo, her immune system was vastly compromised and she wound up with pneumonia.

Hope that is not the case with you but important to check it out.

good luck to you!!!

warmly,

Steve
