So glad I found this board! I'm a 43 year old wife and mom of 16 and 8 year old boys. Diagnosed last month with stage 2 TNBC. Had to have surgery to remove tumor because it was so far back against my chest wall. (Right breast). My surgeon was shocked when path report came back with results. Tumor was grade 3 and 2.8 cm. No nodes were removed during surgery. Breast MRI came back clear as well as PET scan--boy that was a scary experience. I have my second chemo scheduled in 2 days. ( AC). The first round kicked my butt. I fought like a champ though. MADE myself eat!!! Just today, my hair is starting to really come out. I'm determined to keep fighting--don't want to have to skip any treatments. After AC, I'm then set to have TAXOL -- and I've told my surgeon that I WILL be having a double mastectomy with reconstruction. I need yalls help and guidance!!

I just had a bilateral skin and nipple saving mastectomy. Recovery is a bit slower than I like, but the results are amazing.   I went into surgery and came out with implants in place.   I still felt like myself. One month out, I still have pain sometimes, but I can do a lot of things, and my range of motion improves every day.   With everything to deal with, I am very happy to have this behind me, I have no doubts it was the right solution for me. I wish you he best, hang in there.
