I'm so sorry to hear that you still have neuropathy all these months later,I just do not know what I will do I. Go back in Tuesday and we will re-access and make a decision on that last dose. I have felt horrible since the 11th one and my hands and feet now are both numb...can I live with it yes but I don't want it to be permanent. We talked today as a family and go figure we are split in if I should take it or not..it all comes down to me in the end..so I will be seeking God's grace to guide me in the right direction..I so want to be finished ..I can barely get the energy to walk across the room without being winded. This stuff really does a number on our bodies.I hope and pray for healing for myself and all of us fighting this. God Bless...Kathy

I could only tolerate 5 Taxol treatments. My liver just hated them. Oncologist said I can not take Taxol anymore or risk liver damage. I did get all 4 Carboplatin. I did not have any neuropathy on Taxol but felt it after a few hours after first AC treatment. I iced both my feet and hands. Holy cow did it hurt to put my feet in ice water. Felt like they broke in a million pieces. Hands were no problem icing.
Now I just got a mouth full of canker sores. Oh joy. Now if my blood counts stay up so I can trudge on. Had 2 blood transfusions on Carboplatin. Just bumps in the road.
DX IDC TNBC 3/31/14 Age 46 Stage 2a, Grade 3, 2.1cm, 0 nodes, (4)Carbo(5)Taxol. AC DD 4 of 4. Lumpectomy 10/30/2014 NED. 33 Rads 2/12/15. BRCA 1/2 normal=negative

Well I did not take the final treatment, the onc nurse spoke to my Dr and they really thought I should not do it. My feet both have some neuropathy and started to swell..and both my hands as well..My Dr is the head of the Hopkins Breast Cancer Ctr so I just have to trust they know their stuff and go with it. Now that I'm finished how long would be expected to still have these symptoms..is there a time when you can say the taxol should be out of your system? Just hoping and praying my symptoms are just temporary..Thanks for all your input ladies..God Bless Kathy
