Hi everyone,
I was first dx 7/06 with tnbc and did lump. w/chemo and rads. Then had recurrence 1/08, tnbc again, and did bilateral mast. followed by chemo. Did expanders and then implants went in 7/08.
I was in a car accident on 9/25 where I t-boned another vehicle(her fault, she was turning left in front of me and talking on her cell phone). Taken to hospital dx as muscle spasm. My back and neck hurt still a month later. They had given me scrips for ibuprofen, vicodin, and diazaphem(?)
I have found that my "twins" and chest still hurt. They told me my twins were fine and I had a pet scan a week later and that was o.k.
Should I worry about my twins and when will I stop hurting?
Have any of you had trouble like this? I am worried that the seat belt hurt my twins. I have gone to my GP 3 times and have talked on the phone for more muscle relaxers when others were finished.
I am functioning well but I still hurt, but not enough to slow me down?
     Any suggestions?
         Love and prayers to all.

Debbie,

You sure have been through a lot.  Have you seen your ps?  Maybe the ps can make sure nothing is wrong with the implants or surrounding muscle/tissues.  Muscle spasms and whiplash type of injuries can take a while to heal.  Did your primary doc talk to you about physical therapy?  Maybe that can help.  Praying that you have a full recovery.

Donna,
I went back to the GP and got another muscle relaxer and he said if that doesn't help that I would need physical therapy. My onc. has also given me a scrip to get physical therapy for lymphedema but the closest "certified" lymphedema therapist is twenty minutes away. I have put that off but I am going to make some phone calls to see if anyone closer can treat and eval both.

I hope you can get some relief either through the muscle relaxer or physical therapy.  Good luck, Donna
