Topic: Laurie Pearson Posted: Jan 29 2013 at 8:02pm |
Laurie Pearson a lovely 45 year old lady died Sunday. She was diagnosed with TNBC in February, 2011. She had a double mastectomy and chemo. After a few months of remission the cancer recurred and spread into many areas of her body. She was so full of hope and encouraged many people on her short cancer journey. I met her in February 2011 at a support group meeting. She always had a huge smile and a kind word for everyone.
Rest in Peace Laurie,
Love,
Lillie

It's always sad to hear about another young woman dying of this wretched disease. It is quite humbling. May Laurie rest in eternal peace.

May Laurie rest in peace and rise in glory. I, too, hate hearing of the deaths of young women, especially those who had recurrences in such a short period of time. It's so unfair. I will keep her and her family in my prayers.

Thank you for sharing, Lillie...
Another lovely woman gone all too quickly...
deeply saddens me, even though I didn't know her.
If you speak to any of her family members please send my condolences and of course to you for the loss of your young friend.

Lillie, I am so sorry to hear of your young friend's death. Laurie sounds like a special lady. I was just recently diagnosed with TNBC this past Jan./2013 and when I came over here to the Tribute threads to read for the first time and clicked on this, it almost took my breath away. Her age and the short time she had is so very sad.
My condolences to you and her family.

It is maddening that so many people are dying from this beast. Young, old, men, women, it doesn't matter. We all must band together to demand more research and targeted therapies for "our kind."
Of course my heart goes out to you Lillie, and her family also. May she rest in peace and may her family and friends find solace in the memories she left with them.

Amen, Sister above me!!!
Lillie,
My sincere sympathy for the loss of your lovely friend. I can't add anything that hasn't already been said... but I'm sure you, having known her, are very deeply saddened. This is an example of what an aggressive beast TNBC can be. Dear Lord, so fast!
It's always still dreadfully sad.. really tough to hear that a young vital life has been taken by this %*#! disease.
Lillie, I'll say a prayer for you and her loved ones.

Lillie,
Laurie reminds me a little bit of my wife, Sara, in that her journey was short and that they both shared a smile and a warm outlook. Please accept my condolences for your loss, I know what it feels like.
