Hello to all of you,
I registered back in December I'm Jessica's Mom. I had not been back on the web site for awhile and for got my password so i re registered and I am feeling better since my daughters dx December 15th. Jessica had just given birth to her second child, she now has a beautiful daughter Kendal Marie 3 months old, her son Aiden is 19 months. Some of you may remember me, I think Pam was one of the sweet ladies who sent me a few messages.
Jessica, Just had her third treatment in 2/10/10, she goes in every 21 days for treatment Bevacizuma and Docetaxel, and then she takes for 14 days the Xleoda, she is in a trial study so she is being monitor very closely. She also takes Zofran for nausea, and Decadron which quiets down the immune system.
Jessica is the oldest of my five children I have one other daughter Rachel 26, and then three sons, Bryan 24, Ernesto 17, and Michael 16. And a wonderful husband Ernie.
There is a family history of cancer in my family my sister Elvalee had breast cancer when she was 32 and had three bouts with it, 11 years ago she had both breast removed and she is doing very good she just turned 60 on Feb 9th.....My sister Gloria had breast cancer at the age of 34 and passed at the age of 36, she left behind 2 children that are grown now. I don't know what type of cancer they had but my sister Elvalee just gave her permission to the doctor to release her records so we can educate our selves with our family history.
Shortly after Jesscia was dx she tested postive for the BRCA1, since then my daughter Rachel was tested and was negative thank the lord, so far one of my three brothers tested and he also tested negative, they all need to be tested this way if any of them do test positive then their children will need to be tested to determind what precautions they might need to take.
I am a born again christian and I believe with my heart that God is healing Jessica though each and every treatment she receives. Psalm 107: 20 He sent his word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
Blessings,
Jessica's Mom
