Hi MrsLyons,
I don't k/now that I have posted to you or not but I have read your posts since you first found this site.  I finished my A/C in December and had my 4th Taxol today.  I just wanted to tell you how much easier the Taxol is.  Don't fret.....it gets better.  I think that because the Taxol is weekly that it feels like it goes by faster.  Congrats on your clear MRI.

Hello all!!

I hope you all well.

I just wanted to give you an update, as I have not been on the site for awhile. THe chemo has done a number on my vision and I get pretty frustrated when I get online and can't see what I'm writing. I am sure this post will be riddled with spelling errors, etc.

Otherwise, I'm doing pretty well....and am now over halfway through the Taxol section of treatment. I'm meeting with my PS next week and things are rolling right along. My BS said she believes they will do a nipple-spairing BMX on me. I'll start with expanders and then get radiation. Does this sound like a familiar plan to the rest of you?

You were right, the Taxol is much easier than the AC for me. I am officially in "chemo-pause" and enjoying hot flashes about every two hours. Wow, aren't those fun! ;) So, I am a bit sleep deprived and my wbc and rbcs are always much lower than my doc would like. But, she treats me anyway and then sticks me with the nupagen every other treatment...it seems to be doing the trick.

I am also checking in regularly on the YSC site. There are a few young ladies there with TNBC and I'm trying to get them to come check out this site as well. You all provide so much information that is just not available anywhere else. I hope they come over here and check it out. In the meantime, I'm cutting and pasting some of your informative posts on clinicals, second opinions, etc and pasting it over there. I hope you don't mind.

I hope everyone is handling their treatment as best as possible.

Hugs,
Tina

Tina,

So good to hear from you.  I remember the hot flashes and vision problems too.  Surely not fun but you'll get through it.  Please keep us posted.

Tina,
Good to hear from you and to hear that things are going fairly well.  I'm glad that the Taxol is easier on you than A/C.  Sure was for me.  I didn't have expanders or radiation so can't comment on that part.  Best of luck in the rest of your treatment and reconstruction.
