I am 3 months post partum and had a Left Mastectomy on 1/8/09.I was diagnosed with breast cancer 1 week after delivering my Daughter on 11/4/08.I had 2 mammograms,2 breast ultrasounds and a Breast MRI which said the Right Breast was clear.I also thought that my milk finally dried up just prior to my surgery.

Today while taking a shower I had some white discharge (Only white,no blood) from my Right Nipple.I had not felt any lumps in my right breast.I had my Husband double check and he did not feel anything either.

I called my Oncologist and he stated that the A/C is causing my hormones to go "haywire" and also the fact that I am 3 months post partum does not help matters. He instructed me to call my OB/GYN.I spoke with my OB/GYN and he is going to see me tomorrow and send a sample out for cystology to verify that it is milk.

Has anyone ever heard of this???? I am very scared and will be anxious until the results will be in early next week.

Tammy,

I don't know about the discharge but can only truly believe that with all that testing, it is nothing but milk. Never heard of a white discharge with tnbc?

Buckle up, because this whole thing will be a hormonal super roller coaster for a while.

Many calming, loving thoughts your way while you're playing the dreaded waiting game. Let us know how it comes out.
