This triple negative is an extra clinch in this whole wicked disease.

Stage 1 Grade 3 Tri-neg
Lumpectomy sentile biopsy.nodes clear
I have my radiation done.  Clinical 1 week of 2x a day.
Should start chemo next week but I don't know what kind yet.  They say that we (tri-neg) respond "better" to chemo.  Anyone have any information on what kind is better for us?

I had heard of this Topoll 2 test that showed if the "A" worked but found that not even the ACS had any numbers or info on it.

Oh HollyHopes I am very sorry to hear of your friend in your support group.  I wish I could give you a big hug, that is so sad and I can only
imagine how disturbing this is for you.Hug

Do you have any local friends you could turn to?

It is so very hard when family and friends live so far away.  Most of the time we get along with our everyday lives but there are times in our lives when we sure need them close by.

How are you feeling today?

Hi BeeCee and a very warm welcome to you.Smile

Yes it is difficult for us sometimes because those who have been lucky enough not to have cancer cannot understand the residuals we get from the disease in mind or body.

Please jump in and speak your mind, of course we understand!

Hi Lucky.  I also have a very rare form of breast cancer
Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the breast.  I could only find one reference with a mention of 6 women that have ever had it.

This is the way I think about that.  I have cancer.  Rare or not, does not make it different in how we treat it.  I try not to dwell on the rarity of it.  That scares me too much.  But, just because it is rare, does not mean it is worse!! That is what I hold on to.  Maybe you can to.

Brenda
