Heart Bonds
Standing together in a cause is much more supportive and enjoyable than standing alone. It is man's nature to seek the companionship of people with like minds, like aims and like efforts. Mutual likes form heart bonds and make partners. We call it fellowship. Just eating together, however, is not fellowship but rather may be a fruit of fellowship, the coming together and eating together because of similar interest. Similar interests-- that's the binding tie.
Certainly fellowship is not the cure of all our ills, but it does make those ills easier to bear, the joys more enjoyable to share, and the drooping spirits easier to rise again. It's more than physical presence. It's the like beating of human hearts. Leroy Brownlow
