I am new but coming from the husbands point of view, happy to share if anyone wants to reach out, my wife of 52 was diagnosed June 2024 with TNBC, Stage 1, no spread to lymph nodes, around 15mm in size, surgery removed first time and now going through chemo EC and Paclitaxel and then radiotherapy, like so many others my wife does not drink alcohol, smoke is in good health and has no history of cancer in her family as far as we can tell. It's such a worrying time and I would be keen to obtain any hints and tips to support my wife through this difficult time. Sending positive thoughts to everyone

Hi Sue. I am so sorry I never responded back to your message in August. And here we are at the end of December! I sure hope you are doing well. You are a strong woman making it through the 4 rounds of AC! I only did one round of AC and although h had no side effects from that first round - I was realing from the dude effects from taxol and abraxine. I only took one dose of abrasive (3-week dose) and I’m convinced the concentration of that kicked my butt. So much happened on my journey so long story cut short my lumpectomy on July 30th deemed me cancer free with clear margins. Yay! However they stopped my AC chemo because I developed a severe case of neuropathy in hands and feet. I was cancer free and unable to walk - using a wheelchair. I spent 4 months doing physical therapy, acupuncture, massages. I am now walking with use of a walker but no feeling in My feet still. I’m not giving up hope but it is so hard. I cry everyday - just a few minutes. Then I find my smile. I’m still here. Cancer didn’t take me but it sure has changed me. I would love you to talk with you more if you want. Let me know and I will share my private info. Thanks. Tammy. (Hope you are enjoying the holidays - happy new year and cheers to 2025)

I don't know who needs to see this but I feel led to share this today. In 2013 I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer (TNBC). This is more common in young black women. I am white and was 60 yrs. old at the time. Go figure! I was told this is an aggressive type and if it doesn't return in 10 years supposedly it will never return. In fact, my doctor said if it doesn't return in 5 years (because it is so aggressive) it probably won't return I was treated with a lumpectomy, chemo and radiation. Two years later in 2015 the TNBC was detected again. I had a double mastectomy and refused chemo. (Stage 1 and no lymph node involvement) I was not able to have radiation a second time. I relied on God so much. It is now 2025 (ten years later) and I am still here! Praise God and his holy name! This post is for someone, I am just not sure who. Trust God and know He has a plan.

Hi Mary! I rarely get on this site but wanted to let you know I loved your message. When I first started to read it I thought it was a message that I wrote! I do believe that God moves us to touch others - and you have touched me. I and coming up on one year since finding out I had TNBC. In my last 3 month check up all was good - my cancer markers were down and bloodwork all looked good. Still cancer free. I don’t know what I would do if I were to be told that it’s back! Really don’t think I could go through chemo again. I have been in physical therapy since my chemo ended as I have neuropathy so bad I was in wheelchair. I’m starting to walk with a cane now. I’m so happy for you! You have given me such hope !!

Hi Tammy! I am so glad my post was seen by someone like you. When I felt the lump a second time I told my husband exactly what you said, "I don't think I can go through this a second time." I could not even think about chemo again. My doctor stood behind my decision to not go through the chemo again. Make sure you are right with God then the future is bright wether you live on in eternity or on earth. God chose to heal me and now I am able to tell everyone about God's love and healing power. He is the great physician! May God bless all who read this! Mary

March 2024 I had a dmx for dcis. Pathology came back showing 5 tnbc tumors with largest at 11mm. Luckily margins/nodes were clear BUT there were signs of lymphatic vascular invasion. The oncological surgeon suggested adjuvant chemo as a precaution. In all honesty, the treatment scares me more than the actual dx. However, I recently set an appt with my pcp to help me find an oncologist. I do appreciate you sharing your testimony! Reminds me I need to get off the fence and run after God and rely upon Him. Again, thank you!

Molly, It makes sense since God is the great physician. Ask God to send you to the correct oncologist. Ask for His healing. God Bless You! Mary
