Hi all,
I thought I would post and say hello & tell you all a little about myself. I don't know my way around this forum all that well so I have been looking around & getting to know the place.
I am a 42 year old married mum with 3 handsome sons (8,13 & 18). I was diagnosed on the 27/12/07- so I had a horrid x-mas with waiting for results etc...anyway the cancer ended being Grade 3, IDC . I had a 1 cm tumour on my left breast & had a 2.5cm lymph node involvement (same breast). On the 14th January 08 I had a mastectomy & Axcillary clearance (1/17 was positive), Triple Negative. I had 4 cycles of AC chemo (every 3 weeks) and 12 weekly Taxol. My final chemo treatment was on the 28/7/08, so I am very happy Clap that all is finished.
Currently.......I am having a little rest after all the surgery, doctors & treatment, and will have reconstruction and silicon implants at a later stage.
I am looking forward to a nice and relaxing family holiday with my hubby & sons in December for 2 weeks.Hug

Welcome and I am so glad you found this site. If you have a chance to answer some of the polls that would be wonderful.
 
It is so great to see that you have had the weekly Taxol (there is one topic talking about how that was found to be more effective).
 
I had a 3 cm left breast tumor with 3/17 nodes positive, had mastectomy, and AC + T every 2  weeks (4 cycles each).
 
We are here to offer support, information, hugs and laughter.
