Now after an MRI there is a spot in her liver  her doctor thinks the cancer has spread. My family +I can"t sleep hardly eat

tdic12, I'm so sorry to hear about your sister.

Are they planning on a doing a biopsy for the suspicious spot on her liver?

I had a CT scan 3 months ago which showed 3 spots on my liver and then when I went in for the biopsy they couldn't find them so doing another CT tomorrow.

I'm sorry I can't help w/doctors' names, hope someone else can jump in and advise,

Pam

Yes they plan a biopsy and she probally do a consult then appointment and finally the biopsy it is 2 centermeters

I am extremely sorry  about the 3 spots on your liver+the failed biopsy mabey after the CT scan I hope that there  some way to find a more specific way  to locate them  or a way to guide them to the 3 spots by some combo of  ways

Hi,  I am in Canada.
Please check out  Princess Margaret Hospital on University Avenue Toronto, Ontario Canada.
This hospital is a very much acclaimed Cancer Research Hospital!
The top doctor there is   Dr. Mark Clemons.  He is the head of breast oncology.   Please also do a google  on   the drug called   clodronate.
It is being researched as a cancer inhibitor for cancers that are
triple negative.   The drug clodronate also goes by the name of
Bonefos.   It is Not available in the States,  but IS  available in Canada and the United Kingdom.
I believe there is also a doctor by the name of  Maurice Slevin ( sp? )  who is also a top knotch doctor in the UK.

Lucky, do you have a link for clodronate being used as a inhibitor for triple neg?  All I can find is that it is used for strengthening bones.  I'll keep looking though, thanks for the info.

Hi trip,

Yes!   There are several websites that explain clodronate being used as a possible cancer inhibitor to prevent it from re-occuring in the bones.
Please go to google   and   type in        clodronate breast cancer
When that page comes up,  you will see several articles about it.
The research results will be out in 2008, but, my oncologist says it's a good idea to start it as soon as possible after all other treatments ( like chemo, surgery, and radaition )  are done.   The oral dosage that is recommended is usually  1600 mg. a day.    I've read dozens of articles on it and with my type of rare cancer and it being  triple negative to boot,  I have nothing to lose by trying it.   But, please talk to your doctor about it.
It's not available in the States because of alot of red tape with the FDA, but it IS available in Canada, and the UK .......  and possibly the rest of Europe also.
Hope this info helps!
