I have great success in finding information on the internet by using Google NEWS alerts. I tend to avoid blogs and websites. Am looking for news articles which will inform me.  The benefit of this (also) is that I see if news comes from many, multiple different places. It is redundant to me, but also highlights the importance of the information.

One of the bits of news that I've seen over and over recently is the following article about diet and exercise.

For me, old habits die hard... I think every day about walking, but use my current chemo as an excuse (too tired; will do it after chemo). And, fruits and veggies have never been a staple for me. Still, I'm determined to do what I can, and see every small bit of improvement as a step in the right direction.

Joan, my onc told me the same thing.  Diet and exercise are two things that we personally have control over that can have some effect on recurrence and the long-term side effects of chemo.  It sucks, pardon my language, because after all we've been through it would be nice to be able to pamper ourselves by eating whatever we want and getting some good R&R.  Intstead we have to be even more vigilant about what we eat and how physically active we are.  We have to look at the bright side and hope that by taking control of these aspects of our lives, we can make a difference.  It's something to hold on to.
