Hi trip,

Thanks for finding this article.   The last paragraph is very much what my oncologist was talking about  - the biggest trial is going on right Now and the results won't be out until 2008 - but it wouldn't hurt to be on it now given the rarity of my kind of cancer with it's low survival rate and a very high incidence of re-occurance.
Is this drug Not approved at all even for people who have what is called
myeloma ??   That's how it is most commonly prescribed here.

"We wouldn't really argue against or for the use of this agent in breast cancer patients based on this study," Dr. Ha said. Currently, big multicenter trials are investigating this, the researcher noted, and the results of one of the trials will be available in the near future and that may provide more evidence on this subject."

Thanks so much, trip!

If it works on me -  it will help eveyone else who is triple negative.  Smile

The good thing is that it IS already approved here for other reasons and that means if it works on me as a preventative -   it should quickly then be approved by the FDA  to use in the States.

For all of our sake -  let's hope and pray it works!
