Topic: "Diep" reconstuction? Posted: Feb 18 2009 at 8:15am |
Has any one had the "diep" reconstruction? Can you please share with me the pro's and con's that you have experienced. I am scheduled for one in two week. I have done a lot of research on this subject and I have always felt very confident about it, and my surgeon, but now I'm starting to get concerned and a little scared. I know that is probable normal going into any surgery like that, but I can't help the feeling. I'm looking for any information I can get from anyone that has personal knowledge of the journey. Thanks, Kitty

Kitty,
I'm having a DIEP procedure on Sept. 21. I sure hope yours went well. I had trouble sleeping last night thinking about my surgery. I'm not overly worried, just anxious to get on with it! Let us know how things went for you and for those of us that are having it done.

I am just finding this thread. Are any of you still posting that had the DIEP? I am scheduled for June 8, 2011. Was this a good choice for you?
