Hi Kim, so good to see you checking in..I found it interesting your Onc mentioned the fever
could be caused by the tumor so went looking, sure enough cancer can cause a fever.  Hope it is gone now so that you will continue to feel better, you've been thru enough.

Kim, I am so glad things are continuing to move in the right direction - this combo really seems to be doing its job for you!!  Especially the cough, I know how rough that is.  I have 2-3 "fits" a day still myself, it really takes it out of you.

I didn't know that about cancer causing a fever - how strange!  But I'm glad it wasn't anything more serious.

Best,
Susan

Pam, it's impossible to feel good when you've got a fever, that's for sure!  I find that on most of my days, I feel pretty close to normal now but then towards the night time, I'll sometimes spike a temp of 100 or 101 and that throws me right into the "feeling like sh*t pot".

Someday soon though, I'll be feeling good all day AND all night too.

I take two steps forward and one step back, but as long as I keep going, I'll keep making progress.

Love you all.

Kim

Thanks again to all of you for the thoughts, prayers and well wishes.

Short update:

On Friday, I went to the cancer center for my second infusion of the second cycle of abraxane/avastin.  I went in without a wheelchair to see how far I could walk without it - and I made it up to the 7th floor lab, back down to the 1st floor and all the way over to the infusion center.  I stopped once in the pavilion to rest for a minute but that was it.  I was able to ambulate the whole trip!  My oxygen level stayed around 96%.  I can't express my elation and how much I appreciate everyone who is in this fight with me, especially my TNBC family and prayer warriors.

My side effects are very minimal this time around and I'm doing well.  I've been getting out of the house more often yet and able to cook dinner most nights.  I still have a very productive cough but I am still able to sleep at night.

I have quality of life again!

God bless and keep you all,

xo

Oh Caryn, I wish I could bottle it up and send it to you!  I'd send truckloads to all of my TNBC sisters in need.

Please don't lose hope or faith - my prayers for you continue.   xo
