Kim, I'm so glad Tammy is ok and that your energy and breathing are still much improved.  Enjoy the week 'off', and hopefully SE's will be better once you start the rigamarole again.
love,

Hey Kim, good to hear Tammy is doing well.

Disgusted to see you are dealing with bad pain, hope you have something to help?

I had alot of pain with Taxol.  Found soaking in a warm to hot bath helped and also
pillows with the heat pad.

Karen so nice to see you too  :)

Hi all.

I'm still in recovery mode I guess.  I surely thought I'd be better by now but I've had fever of 101 for 2 days now.  I think it broke around 4 this morning because I woke up soaking wet and I think it's broken again since dinner.  I feel more normal now than I have since just before my infusion last Friday.  I've felt just plain YUCKY!  I haven't left the bedroom much in the last couple of days.  I went out with Karen the other day to see the trees out at the lake and just get out of the house.  I stayed in the van the whole time just riding around but by the time I got back home, I was ready for bed.  I am SO not used to feeling like this for such an extended period of time.

Maybe I need to expect less of myself and just be patient.  *sigh*

I had some unexpected family stress that came up last week that might have something to do with it also.  I can't really mention it here, but it's ripped my beautiful family apart- that said, we WILL recover and we WILL move on.  Together, there's nothing Matt and I can't pull through.

Peace and love to all.

Kim

What a difference a day can make.  Hold onto that!!

I got up this mid day (haha) around 11:45 and came upstairs.  I took my shower, got dressed, ate lunch and played around on Facebook a while.  I bounced my baby girl on my lap, snuggled and hugged her, laughed with her, rubbed noses with her.  Josh had the day off from school for teacher conferences so he watched Beth for me while I LEFT THE HOUSE ALONE.  I drove my little blue Mustang all over town with my stereo blaring in my ears.  I even flat ironed my hair and put on make up before I left.

Tonight, I'm making chicken and spinach bruschetta for dinner.

LOVING today.

xo

Hi all.

Fighting back after treatment 1 of cycle #2.  I feel pretty good for the most part.  We'll see what the next two treatments do though as I believe the side effects are cumulative.  I feel better today than I have in quite a while.

My oncologist did a chest xray the other day before my treatment to rule out pneumonia because of the fevers I keep having.  There was no sign of the nasty bugger, so he figures the fevers are from the tumors in my lungs.  I guess my body is trying to fight it as well.  I still struggle with shortness of breath at times but not as much as I did 2 months ago when this all started.  I find myself doing more a little bit at a time.  I cook a few days a week now, which is something I wasn't able to do before.  I still cough quite a bit, but I go longer periods of time between coughing and the duration of the coughing fits seem to be getting shorter.  I'm hoping this isn't just my imagination!  I do sleep better and the Tussionex is much more effective now than it used to be.

I had decreased wheezing in all lung fields and my skin mets are continuing to improve.  Doc says he believes "we're moving in the right direction".  I won't see him again until December 2nd which is when I'll have my contrast CT to check on my lung mets and see how well/if the chemo is working.

I don't know what my previous CA 15-3 marker was, but, on Friday it was 19.  :)

xoxo,

Kim
