I wanted to express my thanks for this TNBC site. It is wonderful to read posts from women and men seeking answers for their questions about this 'scary' TN cancer. What is wonderful is that so many people respond with answers, help, concern and support. Just today I read two posts that fall into that category and saw the posts of THANKS.
Just this week at my work I talked with two ladies who have triple negative breast cancer. One was early stage and has finished all her treatments, surgery, etc. The other has stage 3b inflammatory triple negative and is still taking chemo. I have to give thanks to God that I was able to talk, at length, with both of them and know that they found encouragement from my journey. God is Good!

Love,
Lillie

Today I sold the building and 5 acres of land that became mine when my husband died 7 months ago. The man who owns the business next to my land was very interested because he was landlocked and was looking to expand his business. I met with him and his wife this afternoon. I had set the price high, hoping to get a 'certain' counter offer. The man 'out of the blue' said, will you accept the 'certain' price I had in mind. They are buying everything "as is" which is wonderful. The reason I'm sharing this is because today I had a prayer answered. I had prayed that I would not have to haggle over the price, but also get a fair and decent price for the property. God answered my prayer.
It has been hard going forward with life since Donald died. But let me tell you that God does work in mysterious ways. My prayers that have been answered in the past 7 months would be unbelievable if I didn't have the Faith that I have. I have seen God use people that I didn't know, situations that I could never dream of and so much more to accomplish His Will in my life. We Serve A Big GOD! Thank you for Jesus blood that was shed so that WE can have Everlasting Life.

Love and God Bless,
Lillie

Dear Friends,
I ask prayer for my friend, Linda. I met her a few months ago at the oncology center where I work. She had been diagnosed with stage 3, inflammatory, triple negative breast cancer. She has had 4 DD treatments of AC and 4 DD treatments of taxol. Carboplatin was added at the 3rd taxol treatment. She is now getting 2 more taxol/carboplatin treatments that will be followed by radiation and then hopefully surgery. The local surgeon does not want to do surgery yet because the tumor has shrunk very little with all the chemo and she is afraid she will not be able to get a good margin. Linda recently got a second opinion from UNCChapel Hill. The specialist surgeon there agrees with the local surgeon Linda has been seeing.
Linda is a strong, cheerful lady. She has had such a positive attitude, but now she is having a difficult time looking to the future.
Thank you.

God Bless,
Lillie

Please pray for the family of my first cousin Joan. Joan died last night, only 13 days after being diagnosed with lung cancer. Joan had been suffering from bronchitis?, whooping cough?, upper respiratory infection? and on and on for a month. She had a terrible cough and had lost 30 lbs before she became almost unable to breathe 14 days ago. The tumor was huge and collapsed 1 lung, closed her esophagus and almost strangled her aorta. 10 radiation treatments shrunk the tumor but one main artery to her heart was still encapsulated. Her body could not sustain life even with a ventilator working at 100% capacity. I lost one of my favorite first cousins in this world.
Triple negative breast cancer is horrible, but so are other cancers.

God Bless,
Lillie

Dear Friends,
I come asking prayer for Belinda. I met Belinda Thursday as she was getting her first treatment for Stage 3, triple negative, inflammatory breast cancer. She is getting 4 dose dense AC infusions followed by 4 DD Taxol/carboplatin infusions. She then plans to have a double mastectomy followed by radiation. She said reconstruction may be in her future.
I know that God placed me in the job I am doing for a lot of reasons, and especially to help young ladies like Belinda. She had not talked to anyone personally that seemed to know a lot about triple negative. She had read a lot on the internet, which scared her. Seeing and talking to me, an almost 9 years survivor, gave her a lot of courage and peace of mind. I told her that it would not be an easy journey, but we are there to help her and THERE IS LIFE AFTER TRIPLE NEGATIVE BREAST CANCER.
Also, Linda, a lady I spoke about a few posts ago who is also stage 3, triple negative, inflammatory breast cancer is now undergoing radiation. The hope is that successful surgery can follow the radiation. Linda's cancer was somewhat resistant to the chemo. There is also discussion about more chemo after her surgery. Linda is getting weary, but such a Brave, Positive person.

God Bless,
Lillie

Hello Lillie,   Be assured of my prayers for these ladies and all here on this site.

Lillie I just know what a beautiful blessing you must be for these ladies! How wonderful the way the Lord is using you to bring hope, encouragement, wisdom and I am sure a whole host of gifts that he has bestowed upon you for the good of others.

The city that I live in is just under 50 thousand so people needing chemo and radiation have to travel an hour to Ottawa, Ont. to receive it. There is a hope here that funds can be received to provide this care here soon. If and when this happens after reading how you have helped and enjoyed helping other cancer patients I really feel that I would like to volunteer as well. So thank you for sharing your experiences. It does a person so much good!

                    God Bless You Lillie!

                    Love, Annie

HOW BIG IS GOD? DO MIRACLES STILL HAPPEN? We often say God works in mysterious way. Also, when God closes a door He opens a window. I can testify that when we pray, we need to be open to receive the answers and give Him the Praise and Glory.
In December of 2014 I discovered serious damage to the floor in the main bathroom of the house Donald and I had rented for 20 years. Also, with all the rain we had in 2014 and continuing into 2015 the septic system developed a huge problem. The rain also caused lots of water to stand under the house and cause an odor that was unpleasant. Then in April we had an ice storm that brought a huge pine tree down onto the garage and left us without electricity for many hours. I prayed to God to let me be open to His Will for my life. I was feeling fearful and I kept saying "fear is not of the Lord"...
Long Story... Short! I sold the building and land for enough money to afford a small house in a nice sub-division and have some money left over for my future needs. I am close to my work and town. I am only a 20 minute drive to the Church I've attended for years. My adult children are really happy and relieved that I am in a safer place.
I just wanted to share with all my friends who have been praying for me that I am OK and will get rested one day from this move.
I miss Donald terribly, but I have a feeling that he would be in complete agreement of how my prayers have been answered.

I will be more active in posting from now that I am settled.

God Bless,
Lillie
