It seems like most tnbc is grade 3. Is grade 1 or 2 less common? Just wondering because mine was a grade 2.

Sue,
You are correct, most TNBC is grade 3. TNBC is fast growing so it's usually a grade 3 upon diagnosis. With your grade 2, it's a better prognosis.
Tumor grades are usually classified as: Grade 1. The tumor cells look the most like normal tissue and are slow-growing (well-differentiated). Grade 2. The tumor cells fall somewhere in between grade 1 and grade 3 (moderately-differentiated). Grade 3. The tumor cells look very abnormal and are fast-growing (poorly-differentiated).

Yes, Donna, thanks from me too. I love and can understand the concise way you have described the different grades. Mine was, as you say, cells looked very abnormal and were poorly-differentiated. In fact, my biopsy report used those very words (except that the words were in French!)
