Many of you know Diane Counts, she has been posting for a couple of years. Diane was involved in the"Lucky the Pig" fundraiser in Jax, Ar! She was the first person to reach out to me when I was first diagnosed! So ya, she is kinda special to me! She was first treated here in Ar, however when it came back 12 weeks after treatment, she went to Treament Centers of America and received care there. Little than a month ago, I received a call that she was NED! We laughed, cried, and celebrated the wonderful news! Today, I received yet another call! She has been in the hospital for the past 2 weeks! Its back again! I visited with her for a little while and I asked her where her faith was, her reply, ( with the Lord). That was what I was looking for!

Thank you, Georgia for posting. Unfortunately, we all have been informed about Diane's recent bad news and are being kept current by Craigs Care Page posts. They are all over at the TNBC Metastatized and recurrence thread. So very sad, but we are all praying for a miracle.

Georgia, Thank you for updating us about Diane. Many times we don't know what happens to a member when we don't hear from them in a while. We've been following Craig's Carepages posts. It seems unbelievable that she went from NED to recurrence in a matter of weeks. I'm glad you were able to visit her in person. If you see her again, please tell her we all love her. Diane is indeed a very special lady and we all pray she moves thru this difficult time quickly. She has reached out to so many, inspired and encouraged women diagnosed with tnbc. We miss her, want her back with us soon.

From Diane's CAREPAGE:
God only knows I did NOT want to be writing this. MY Beautiful Amazing wife of whom I have been with for 25 Years lost her battle with this CURSE we call cancer. She put up one HELL of a fight and I am very proud to say she was MY WIFE & the Mother of my 3 children. She did not respond to the chemo so they tried radiation. Her throat began to swell & her airways could not get much air. She then could not swallow and continued downhill from then. They tried for days to get the swelling to go down but all her symptoms just got worse and she did not have any relief from the radiation. She lost most of her functions and did not want to be on any machines. I plan on making a foundation in her name but do not know the details as of yet.Thank you all for supporting her and please continue a prayer for her and our children. The ONLY comfort any of us can seem to find is that she is not in any pain anymore! And we know she is in a better place right now then we are. I LOVE YOU CORDELIA DIANE, MAY YOU WALK WITH THE LORD AND IN PEACE. YOUR HUSBAND CRAIG

This is tremendously overwhelming to read. I am in a state of shock that she could have been doing so well just such a short time ago, and now all this - that just suddenly came roaring in like a freaking tornado - and wham - complete destruction - her life is lost to this disease and her family is left to mourn and now has to learn to live without her. My God - where is the justice in this life - where??????????

This is too much, Donna. Damn, I hate this disease. Diane was too young to die. Her children needed her and Craig needed his wife. Dear Lord, stop this insanity.

This is almost more than I can take right now. It's just too much.
Thanks for the link to the care page, where my condolence message is going. Here, right now, all I can say is that I hate this cruel, horrible, hateful disease.

I am so, so saddened by this. I have been following Diane on her Carepages when I found her on this site since Oct. Her stats are so similar to my sis' and age and children. I feel I reach out to 'tell' individuals outside this forum, this circle, and it falls on deaf ears; people are not aware how awful, and how quickly this can turn from a sleeping giant into a BEAST. I am so afraid for my sis that it consumes almost all thoughts. I pray for her husband and 3 children and feel so close to them all...I must go and cry now...

Georgia,
I tried to find Diane's obituary online, but was unsuccessful. Have you talked to her family? If so, how are they holding up? I think about Craig and her children all the time.
