I feel rather ignorant in asking this! I have completed all the treatments-the surgery, chemo and radiation and I am now into my "2000 mile check ups" every 3 months. My diagnosis was triple negative infammatory BC stage III.
I had 26 lymph nodes removed / 8 were "bad guys"
I am, of course, terrified like everyone else that it will return-if so, is the cancer always triple negative as itintially diagnosed?-even in the bones, lungs, brain etc.????
I can't seem to find an answer or opinion.

Vicki,
If the tnbc cells spread to another organ, it would still be tnbc unless it changed pathology. There was an article I remember reading where some mets can change pathology. I think the only way to know for sure it to compare the new biopsy to the original tumor. |
