"According to an early on-line publication in the Journal of Clinical Oncology, treatment with ixabepilone provides anti-cancer responses and disease stabilization among women with metastatic breast cancer that did not respond to treatment with the standard chemotherapy agents including the anthracyclines, taxanes and Xeloda® (capecitabine)."
 
 
This is a clip from the article, another med possibility for those resistant to standard treatment.
