Topic: I read that Susie , Zen Rookie's wife, died Posted: Today at 4:26pm
Remember Paul Motherall, "Zen Rookie" who was kind of active earlier in
the spring? I had done some googling and found out about their autism
work, etc. He had posted on No Surrender's site in late August, and
then...nothing. So I googled today and found an online church
newsletter that offered condolences on Susie's death, I believe it
would have been Monday of last week.
He was intently in love with Susie, and made her sound like a
solid rock of strength. I know they have two daughters, one of whom is
severely autistic. It's going to be hard for them.

Oh, that is so sad. What great people. Thanks for letting us know.
They certainly gave it their all, and loved passionately during the
time they had. I remember his posts about their autistic daughter, and
how scared he was of losing Susie, both for him and especially for her
and their other child. Good, good people.

I
think you are talking about Joan Motheral of McKenzie, TN. I live a
short distance from them. It's true, she died about 2 weeks ago. A few
months back the McKenzie Banner did a story on her. That was the first
time I'd ever seen "Triple Negative Breast Cancer in print. The article
mentioned their dedication to austism research. She was just 41 years
old...terrible sad.
Her father in law owns Super Drugs in McKenzie. I hope to stop by and see them soon.
When I first read about her I thought how blessed I am that I have
lived 67 years (so far) and seen my children grown and my grandchildren
born.
My prayers go out to each member of her family...so brave, so young and now with the Lord!
