July 2006 I found out I had breast cancer poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma triple-negative and it was also in the lymph nodes

My treatment was FEC-X4 then Taxol X 12

It worked and I am now cancer free however when I get hot I feel like 1,000 of pins sticking me.  Does anyone know what this is?  I was told it could be toxins if it is how do I get rid of them?

Shalom

Hi,

I know your cancer is a rare one also.  My experience was with the drug Taxotere and not Taxol.    I was only able to get thru one dose of the taxotere because the side effects were horrendous on me.  I could not walk for almost two months and the skin on my hands and feet were literally coming off and I also had severe purple welts on my hands and chest.  To clear up the chest rash I was prescribed  erythromycin cream - and for the rest of the skin problems I was given a creme called  betasone.   But that was in January of this year,  and I still have some symptons like my fingernails are still coming off.
Apparently Taxotere ( which is a form of Taxol )  affects the nerves in the body.   I think that my be what you are experiencing.
I think you should mention it to your doctor and also go to
www.google.com     and type in     taxol side effects

From what I understand -  the drug just has to run it's course thru your body but -  I think it's important to make the doctor's aware of your reactions.

Hope this info helps and thanks for letting me know what specific type of breast cancer you have.

Glad you are cancer free !    Clap

Shalom, is the feeling of pins sticking you all over your body or at specific parts of your body like possibly where you might have had node surgery or is it in your feet?

I would call my Onc's office if this is bothering you w/o hesitation and find out what is causing it so that you can know and hopefully get it treated.
Some of the Taxanes can cause Neuropathy, I have it in my right hand and feet from Taxol and Taxotere.

Congratulations on being cancer free!!!Clap

Well Shalom, you poor thing, I have no idea.  Maybe you should schedule a doc appointment or talk with your Onc to see why you are doing this and if it is from the chemo??

So you will be starting reconstruction very soon then.  I hope everything goes very smoothly for you Shalom and hope you'll keep us posted,
Best of luck with your surgery,
