Hello Fellow Survivors,

Just looking for some input. Has anyone been able to tolerate Xeloda and/or Tycerb. If you have found a way to tolerate have you had success in reducing your mets?

Also, I have been on chemo for 5 years and become immune to most of the common chemo drugs. I have been through taxol, taxotere, gemzar, tykerb, xeloda, carbo plat, adriamycin, herceptin, cytoxan and doxal.

Does anyone have any other suggestions for what drug to try next, if there are any?

Thanks,
Tina

Hi Tina,
This is the first I have heard of Tycerb but I just finished 4 months of Xeloda and Avastin.  I did get have some problems with my feet and my fingernails have pretty much gone away.   I started taking B6 three times a day about 6 weeks ago and it seems to have helped the sensitivity and foot pain.   I also use the cream Xeloda recommends "udderly" and put socks on at night.   Good luck with your treatment.

Hmmm...they gave you Tykerb and Herceptin and you are triple negative?  Both drugs target the Her2/neu pathway, so from my understanding aren't usually given to TNs.  Did you have any response to either of them?
Best,
Denise
