My fourth chemo regimen started on January 07, 2016, an injection of Eribulin. The following week my white blood count was down, (as expected), but my liver count sky rocketed. The docs aren't going to continue the Eribulin. I wonder what is left for me to try. I'm afraid that any chemo they try will result in liver issues now. Also, my fear is that no clinical trials will take me if I have had more than two chemo regimens after the diagnosis of metastatic BC. Any ideas out there? Some hope would be great. I feel like I'm sinking.

I'm really sorry for your understood feelings right now . They gave my wife Carboplatin-Gemzar chemo before surgery.

I'm sure there is someone on here to help regarding with Eribulin.

Jeree,

I understand your frustration.  I had a similar problem in 2010/2011 when I had my recurrence and entered a clinical trial of Carboplatin/Gemzar/Iniparib.  After my first treatment, chemo was delayed almost a month because my liver enzymes were too high.  They'd go up 10X the normal level.  I tried everything, but found that Milk Thistle worked the best for me to help get the levels back down enough where I could continue with the clinical trial.  I shared what I was doing with my onc and she was ok with me taking the supplement.  Always discuss with your onc any supplements you might take to make sure they agree.  When I get blood work now, my liver enzymes are back to normal levels.

Here's a link to a thread I created on the subject.
